When Ai from Japan chose Latvia as her exchange destination, she had no idea how deeply this experience would move her. Having sung in a choir back in Japan, she dreamed of the opportunity to be part of the Song and Dance Festival in Latvia.

“To learn the language, take part in the festival, dance in a folk group… after ten months, I can say that I am home.”

Before arriving, Teresa only knew that Latvia was located in the Baltics… Today, she dances folk dances, speaks Latvian, and feels like a part of this country.

“When I was reading about Latvia, something inside me said – yes, this will be the right country! And so, Latvia became my first choice.”

Thanks to the exchange program, he has learned the Latvian language, discovered Latvian folk dances, and can confidently call Latvia his second home.
