Hi! My name is Erica and in the year 2022/2023 I was an ESC volunteer in the AFS Latvia office for one year.
Working together with the AFS Latvia team has been a great pleasure for me, it was the first time that I actually worked in a team and it really was an experience of growth and development that I will never forget.
AFS Latvia gives you the opportunity of expressing all of your creativity and putting all of yourself in some amazing projects, such as: leading AFS camps with exchange students, doing school presentations with the Latvian youth and creating interactive workshops both in youth centers and with the exchange students.
Thanks to this project I had the chance of making long lasting connections with wonderful people that I will forever be grateful for and never forget.
I can honestly say that AFS Latvia wasn’t just a working place for me but actually was, and still is, a safe place in which I feel comforted and motivated to push my boundaries and step by step make a change in myself and in all the people I worked with.
AFS Latvia and the ESC project changed my life, and for that I can only be gratuful.
