In 2018, I had the opportunity to do my ESC in the AFS office in Riga, Latvia. This experience was nothing short of amazing!
Getting to know new places and people has always been my strongest motivation to be a part of an organization such as AFS. Besides getting to experience new things, I also had the chance to develop personally in different fields, thanks to the work of AFS Latvia.
My work was very independent with the support of my colleagues, I had the freedom to design new trainings, new events, and, later on, realize them! This sense of independence really helped me grow personally and professionally.
Erasmus+ in Latvia organized several events for ESC volunteers in the country. This was a great opportunity for me to get to know people and understand the foundations of different projects that were being done nationally.
I believe that ESC is something that should be done by everyone who can! It is a great way to learn more about a new place, yourself, Europe, and much more! It provides young people with the opportunity to expand their horizons and gain new skills for a more peaceful world!
